Last week Thursday saw the five of us in the beautiful town of Worcester in the Boland which is surrounded by majestic mountains. The Barn (a local restaurant) served as the meeting venue for the Rotary clubs of Worcester, Drakenstein and Paarl for the evening.
We thought it would be worth our while to present the slideshow that we have prepared for our District9220 visit, to some of the local clubs, so that we get comfortable with it and to see what we can improve on it.
Being our first time to present as a team, you can imagine we were balls of nerves...!
But then again, i think some of the reason why we were chosen is that we are courageous...maybe? That courage definately showed on Thursday night as we took our places in the front of the room filled with Rotary members. This picture shows the people that was our
audience that night.

Preparing the slideshow in itself has been challenging. From difficulties with getting quality photo's to slideshow design, setup and the lack of time to do it in! That said, we had a good enough slideshow that we felt confident in. The next pic shows our opening page.

We ended up having a blast and got some great feedback from some of the audience. They gave us good insight into slide timings, diversity of pictures used, to tips on speaking slower when we present. Now just have to adjust a few things and we are ready! For the slideshow at least...
This piccie shows us and the Rotary Drakenstein team, who together with the Worcerster Rotary team is sponsoring Helmien.

In the end it was an enjoyable evening and the Rotarians were great! Thank you so much for the opportunity to 'test' our presentation on you and we will bring you more updates soon.
Now we just have to sort our visas and flight tickets out... help!
Here's one last photo of us, Proudly South African! (note the t-shirts making up the colours of the SA flag...)

Be awesome!
