Welcome to our blog!

Dear friends,

If you have stumbled upon this blog, welcome! In April 2007 our group of four, plus a team leader, set off on our Rotary International Group Study Exchange (GSE) Program to the Indian Ocean Islands of Reunion, Madagascar, and Mauritius.

Our team members were Bernie Fortuin, Helmien Hugo, Tania Jansen Van Rensburg, myself Alistar Harris, and intrepid team leader and past president of Melkbos Rotary Club, Josie Norfolk.

We were graciously hosted by the various Rotary Clubs within District 9220 on the three islands. We even had the privilege of attending the District Conference on the wonderful island of Mauritius. Thank you so much to all the Rotarians who made our GSE a fantastic experience, and for sharing your countries, and inspiring work with us.

Our lives are back to "normal" again, and work and family keeps us busy. We hope that this blog will be of some help to future GSE groups, and that it will always be a reminder of the important work that Rotary does in our world.

In service,

The GSE District 9350 Team 2007
